Baogang’s rail and beam plant produces 562,400 mt of steel rails in Jan-Sept

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) has announced that in September this year its rail and beam plant produced 65,500 mt of steel rails. Meanwhile, the plant’s total steel rail output in the January-September period of this year amounted to 562,400 mt.
 
In 2011, Baogang’s rail and beam plant produced 854,000 mt of steel rails, including 256,000 mt of 100-meter steel rails and 34,600 mt of 350 km/h high-speed steel rails. As the largest steel rail producer among Chinese steelmakers, Baogang’s rail exports reached 50,000 mt last year.
