Baogang plans to install continuous caster

Inner Mongolia autonomous region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang Group) has announced that it plans to install a beam blank continuous caster with an annual output capacity of 1 million mt.
 
Austrian engineering and plant-building company Siemens VAI Metals Technologies will be responsible for the installation work. When the caster is commissioned, Baogang will be able to produce the largest-size H-sections in China, as stated by the steelmaker.
