Baogang exports 63.4 percent of its wire rod output in 2014

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) has announced that in 2014 its long steel plant exported 298,000 mt of wire rod, accounting for 63.4 percent of its total wire rod output in the given year. In 2013, the producer had exported just slightly more than half of its wire rod output. 

In 2014, Baogang’s wire rod was exported to many destinations including South Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia, and Malaysia. In addition, in the given year its wire rod was exported to Africa for the first time.
