In mid-July (July 11-20) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium
plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 1,983.8/mt ($320.0/mt), RMB 2,119.8/mt ($341.9/mt), RMB 2,123.2/mt ($342.5/mt), RMB 2,198.7/mt ($354.6/mt), RMB 3,117.3/mt ($502.8/mt) and RMB 2,500.0/mt ($403.2/mt), down RMB 45.3/mt ($7.3/mt), RMB 34.6/mt ($5.6/mt), RMB 36.0/mt ($5.8/mt), RMB 66.1/mt ($10.7/mt), RMB 92.1/mt ($14.9/mt) and RMB 46.9/mt ($7.6mt), decreasing by 2.2 percent, 1.6 percent, 1.7 percent, 2.9 percent, 2.9 percent and 1.8 percent compared to prices in early July (July1-10), as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 24.
