Average daily coal shipments by China’s Daqin railway decline in Sept

Chinese rail company Daqin Railway Co.Ltd (Daqin Railway) has announced that in September this year the overall freight volume transported on its railway line from Datong, Shanxi Province to Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province amounted to 31.21 million mt, down 7.19 percent month on month and decreasing by 17.15 percent year on year. In particular, in September this year, average daily coal shipments by Daqin railway line amounted to 1.04 million mt, decreasing by 45,000 mt compared to the average daily coal shipments recorded in August this year.

In the January-September period this year, the freight volume transported on Daqin railway line amounted to 305.04 million mt, down 10.17 percent year on year. In the given period, Daqin railway line transported 72.63 percent of the coal shipment target of 420 million mt for the full year.
