In early July (July 1-10) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300
wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium
plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,332.7/mt ($349.2/mt), RMB 2,438.2/mt ($365.0/mt), RMB 2,520.6/mt ($377.3/mt), RMB 2,655.3/mt ($397.5/mt), RMB 2,873.7/mt ($430.2/mt) and RMB 2,534.3/mt ($379.4/mt), rising by RMB 119/mt ($17.8/mt), RMB 78.1/mt ($11.7/mt), RMB 83.4/mt ($12.5/mt), RMB 42.0/mt ($6.3/mt), RMB 25.8/mt ($2.4/mt) and RMB 46.1/mt ($6.9/mt), increasing by 5.4 percent, 3.3 percent, 3.4 percent, 1.6 percent, 0.9 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively, all compared to prices in late June (June 21-30) this year, as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 14.
