In early June (June 1-10) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300
wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium
plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,173.8/mt ($330.4/mt), RMB 2,333.4/mt ($354.1/mt), RMB 2,452.7/mt ($372.2/mt), RMB 2,645.9/mt ($401.5/mt), RMB 2,982.5/mt ($452.6/mt) and RMB 2,493.9/mt ($378.4/mt), down RMB 32.7/mt ($5.0/mt), RMB 30.5/mt ($4.6/mt), RMB 58.0/mt ($8.8/mt), RMB 23.6/mt ($3.6/mt), RMB 80.8/mt ($12.3/mt) and RMB 63.9/mt ($9.7/mt), decreasing by 1.5 percent, 1.3 percent, 2.3 percent, 0.9 percent, 2.6 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively, compared to prices in late May (May. 21-31) this year, as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on June 14.
