Auto demand in Turkey rises 35.8 percent in April over March

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in April this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey amounted to 76,556 units, increasing by 35.8 percent month on month and up 9.1 percent year on year.

New passenger car registrations in April totaled 39,205 units, rising by 37.3 percent as compared to the previous month and up 3.5 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 51.2 percent of total registrations. Small truck registrations, meanwhile, increased by 32.9 percent month on month and were up 21.5 percent year on year, amounting to 17,977 units. Small truck registrations constituted 15.9 percent of total registrations.
