Perth-based Australian mineral exploration company Padbury Mining Limited and its Perth-based joint venture Aurium Resources Ltd confirmed on February 20 the previously stated DSO (direct shipping ore) potential at the Peak Hill Iron Project, located in the midwest of Western Australia.

Telecom Hill East target DSO mineralization for which Padbury defined an initial JORC compliant inferred resource in April 2011 of 850 million mt, at 27.3 percent iron, has added a further level to the potential of the area. Additional DSO targets have already been identified to the west on the Telecom Hill ridge.

Padbury Mining managing director Gary Stokes said the results were extremely positive, stating, "Direct shipping ore offers Padbury more flexible development opportunities and potential as well as the development of the Peak Hill magnetite processing operation, which promises to be significant."
