Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced its preliminary decision regarding the antidumping (AD) investigation against imports of hot rolled wire rod in coils with diameter of less than 14 mm from Indonesia, Taiwan and Turkey.

The commission has calculated preliminary dumping margins between 0.3 percent and 5.8 percent for Turkish exporters, though it has found that exports from Turkey do not constitute a significant share in total Australian imports and has thereby terminated the investigation for Turkish exporters.

Preliminary dumping margins for Indonesia and Taiwan stand at 10.6 percent and 7.5 percent respectively. The commission said that imports from these two countries cause material injury in the Australian domestic market.

The investigation was launched in April 2014 following an application filed by the Australian steel producer OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd (OneSteel).

The products subject to the antidumping duty investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213.91.00 and 7227.90.90.
