Australia starts accelerated AD review for galvanized steel imports from China

Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has initiated an accelerated review of the antidumping (AD) measures applying to galvanized steel exported to Australia from China, in so far as they relate to a new exporter, China-based Shandong Guanzhou Dingxin Plate Technology Co., Ltd (Shandong). On April 17, Shandong lodged an application for an accelerated review of the dumping duty notice in relation to its exports of the goods in question to Australia from China.
 
The antidumping duty was originally imposed in August 5, 2013 and applied to all exporters of galvanized steel from China, except for Angang Steel Company Limited and ANSC TKS Galvanizing Co., Ltd.
 
The commission will present its recommendations to the parliamentary secretary on or before July 26.
 
The products subject to accelerated review currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210.49.00, 7212.30.00, 7225.92.00 and 7225.99.00.
