Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has decided to terminate its antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding certain hollow structural section imports from India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the commission’s statement, the investigation was first launched on December 22, 2015 upon the application lodged by Australia-based Austube Mills Pty. Ltd and on July 25, 2016 it terminated the investigation deciding that the injury caused by the dumped imports from the two countries was negligible. However, on January 28 this year, Australia's Antidumping Review Panel (ADRP) made a decision to revoke certain elements of the commission’s decision to terminate the investigation. As a result of the resumed investigation, the commission once again decided that the injury to the Australian industry that has been caused by exports of the mentioned goods to Australia from India and the UAE is negligible.

The products in question currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00, 7306.61.00, 7306.69.00 and 7306.90.00.
