ATI Ludlum announces energy surcharge

ATI Allegheny Ludlum Corporation announced that it would begin adding an energy component to the surcharge calculation for many of its products. The energy component in the surcharges will include natural gas for the time being due to the rise in the prices of natural gas. Beginning November 1, 2005, all forms of stainless, super-stainless and duplex products will carry an energy surcharge of $0.031 per pound; all forms of HTA nickel and titanium products will carry an energy surcharge of $0.170 per pound, and tool steel products will carry an energy surcharge of $0.075 per pound. Allegheny Ludlum is a producer and marketer of specialty materials including stainless steels, silicon electrical steels, tool steels, titanium, nickel alloys, as well as other advanced alloys.
