Turkish specialty steel producer Asil Celik has announced that work has been completed and test production has started on its new continuous caster.

The new continuous casting machine will produce round blooms ranging between 310-600 mm, with an annual production capacity of 600,000 metric tons. With this investment, the company aims to expand its product range, improve quality and efficiency and increase capacity.

Asil Celik ordered the large size bloom caster from the Swiss plantmaker SMS Concast in February 2013.
