Russian steel producer Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works (Ashinskiy) has completed pre-commissioning preparations at its third oxygen plant with a capacity of 6,000 cubic meters of oxygen and 180 cubic meters of nitrogen per hour.

As a result, the total capacity of Ashinskiy's all three oxygen plants will be more than 7,500 cubic meters of oxygen and 3,500 cubic meters of nitrogen per hour. The quantity of industrial gases will be enough to fully meet the requirements of Ashinskiy's new 120-ton electric arc furnace (EAF-120) with an annual capacity of one million mt, which is scheduled to be commissioned on April 9, 2010.
