Argentinian industrial production falls 8 percent in October

Argentinian industrial output in October fell 8 percent, year-on-year, according to figures released by the nation’s statistics agency, Indec.
 
As for the accumulated period of January to October, Argentina’s industrial production declined 4.9 percent, year-on-year.
 
Industrial output at the automotive segment decreased 19.1 percent in October, year-on-year, and 14.3 percent in the January-October period, also on a year-on-year basis, Indec said.
 
According to a Indec’s qualitative survey, which measured the expectancies of the nation’s industrial companies for the period of November 2016 to January 2017, on a year-on-year basis, 56.4 percent expect a stable pace for domestic demand in the period, while 26.2 percent foresee a decrease and 17.4 percent expect an increase in domestic demand.
 
Out of the interviewed exporting companies, 54.6 percent expect a stable November-January period for exports on a year-on-year analysis. However, 25.5 percent expect an increase and 19.9 percent a decline in the industry’s exports in the same period.
