Argentinian crude steel and hot rolled production declines in December

Argentinian crude steel production in December declined 16.7 percent, year-on-year, and 8.2 percent, month-on-month, to 371,600 mt, according to data released by the nation’s steel chamber, CAA.

Crude steel production in the accumulated period of January to December totaled 5 million mt, 8.4 percent down, year-on-year.

Argentina’s hot rolled finished steel output in December decreased 11.6 percent, year-on-year, and 6.5 percent, month-on-month, to 372,400 mt, while cold rolled flat steel production in the same period reached 125,300 mt, 10.7 and 9.4 percent up, month-on-month and year-on-year, respectively.

Hot rolled finished steel output in 2015 was 4.5 million mt, 9 percent down, year-on-year, while cold rolled flat steel production in 2015 reached 1.4 million mt, 1.9 percent up, year-on-year.
