Argentina’s auto production up eight percent in September over August

Argentina’s auto production output in September this year totaled 52,977 units, increasing by eight percent month on month, but down 8.3 percent year on year, as announced by the nation’s automotive industry association Adefa.
 
According to Adefa, in September Argentinian auto exports increased by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month and were down by 27.3 percent compared to September 2014, amounting to 21,853 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in September totaled 91,266, increasing by 4.9 percent year on year and rising by 7.2 percent month on month.
 
The nation’s automotive industry produced 417,551 units in the first nine months of the year, 9.5 percent less than in the same period of the previous year. Likewise, exports also declined in the nine-month period to 197,331 units, down 22 percent year on year.
