Argentina’s hot rolled steel output down 19.4 percent in Nov

According to the data released by Argentina's chamber of steel, in November this year Argentina's crude steel output amounted to 395,400 metric tons, falling 4.4 percent as compared to the previous month and down 18.3 percent year on year. In the first 11 months of this year, Argentina's crude steel production totaled 4.66 million metric tons, decreasing 9.6 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in November Argentina's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 391,600 metric tons, increasing 1.5 percent month on month and down 19.4 percent compared to November 2011. Of this total, the hot rolled flat steel product output was 173,400 metric tons, up 3.3 percent month on month, while the long steel product output totaled 218,200 metric tons, stable compared to October this year.

The country's cold rolled flat steel product output in November fell by 13.3 percent month on month to 111,800 metric tons, down 12.8 percent as compared to November last year.
