Argentina’s crude steel production up 15.1 percent in April

Argentina’s crude steel production in April this year decreased by 6.3 percent month on month, to 367,400 mt, up 15.1 percent compared to April last year, the country's steel chamber (CAA) has stated.  In the January-April period, crude steel production in Argentina totaled 1.36 million mt, up 3.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
 
Argentina's hot rolled finished steel production in April decreased by 3.7 percent month on month and was up 6.6 percent year on year to 382,400 mt, while its cold rolled flat steel production in the given month rose by 5.7 percent month on month and fell by 19.4 percent year on year to 110,000 mt.
