Argentina’s crude steel production declines in November

Argentina’s crude steel output in November fell 11.3 percent, year-on-year, and 4.6 percent, month-on-month, to 359,300 mt, the country’s steel chamber, CAA, said this week.
 
Accumulated crude steel production for the 11-month period was 3.8 million mt, 18.1 percent down when compared to the same period of 2015.
 
Argentinian hot rolled finished steel production in November totaled 352,500 mt, 11.5 percent down, year-on-year, but 6.5 percent up in the month-on-month comparison. As for the accumulated period of January to November, hot rolled finished steel output diminished 15.6 percent, year-on-year, to 3.5 million mt.
 
Cold rolled flat steel output in November dropped 0.5 percent, year-­on-year, and 10.3 percent, month­-on-month, to 112,600 mt. As for the January-November period, cold rolled flat steel output totaled 1.25 million mt, 3.4 percent down, year-­on­-year.
