Argentinian crude steel production in October declined by 19.6 percent, year-on-year, but it rose by 16.9 percent, month-on-month. October steel production tonnages were recorded at 376,600 mt, the country’s steel chamber, CAA, said on Friday.
According to the local steel association, at the end of October,
Argentina’s total crude steel production for 2016 was recorded at 3.4 million mt; this reflects an 18.7 percent decline, year-on-year.
Argentina’s hot rolled finished steel production in October was 331.100 mt, which reflects a 19.7 decline, year-on-year. It is also down by 1.5 percent, month-on-month.
As for the accumulated period of January to October, hot rolled finished steel output fell by 16 percent, year-on-year, to 3.1 million mt, CAA said.
Argentinian cold rolled flat steel output in October rose by 18.1 percent, yearonyear; it is also up by 18.2 percent, monthonmonth. October cold rolled flat steel output was calculated at 125,600 mt.
As for the January-October period, cold rolled flat steel output was 1.14 million mt, which denotes a 3.7 percent yearonyear decline.
