Argentina’s auto output rises 18.6 percent in August from July

Argentina’s auto production output in August this year totaled 45,262 units, rising by 18.6 percent month on month and up 3.9 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.

According to Adefa, in August Argentinian auto exports increased by 21.1 percent compared to the previous month and were up by 6.7 percent compared to August last year to 17,583 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in August totaled 76,700, increasing by 5.5 percent month on month and growing by 19.9 percent year on year.

The nation’s automotive industry produced 302,835 units in the January- August period of this year, 0.8 percent less year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 130,526 units, up 10.6 percent year on year.
