Argentina’s auto output falls 5.9 percent in April from March

Argentina’s auto production output in April this year totaled 37,730 units, falling by 5.9 percent month on month and down 15.1 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.
 
According to Adefa, in April Argentinian auto exports increased by 6.1 percent compared to the previous month and were down by 10.3 percent compared to April last year to 18,571 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in April totaled 68,117, decreasing by 1.2 percent month on month and growing by 12.6 percent year on year.
 
The nation’s automotive industry produced 128,635 units in the January-April period of this year, 9.8 percent less year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 58,764 units, up five percent year on year.
