Argentina increases its steel production in February

According to the data released by Argentina's chamber of steel, in February this year Argentina's crude steel output amounted to 450,000 metric tons, rising by 13.4 percent as compared to the previous month and up 2.2 percent year on year.

In February, Argentina's total hot rolled steel product output increased by 43.6 percent month on month to 389,600 metric tons, while a 3.8 percent decrease was recorded on year-on-year basis, including output of 205,500 metric tons of hot rolled flat steel products - up 79.6 percent month on month, and 184,200 metric tons of long steel products, increasing by 17.3 percent compared to January this year.
The country's cold rolled flat steel product output in February fell by 9.1 percent month on month to 103,100 metric tons, down 17.6 percent as compared to February last year.

In the first two months of this year, Argentina's crude steel production totaled 846,800 metric tons, increasing by 5.9 percent year on year.
