Global steel giant ArcelorMittal has decided to double its hot rolled coil production at its Sestao plant in northern Spain, as reported by media sources.

Accordingly, the company will increase its production from the current 15,000 mt per month to 30,000 mt per month in the first quarter of 2017.

ArcelorMittal had decided to idle its Sestao plant in January this year, due to extremely adverse market conditions. The plant was reopened in September.
