ArcelorMittal Temirtau’s steel output to reach 6 million mt by 2017

ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan, has stated that it intends to continue updating its production capacities. Accordingly, the construction of a gas cleaning system for converter No. 3 and reconstruction of blast furnace No. 4 are scheduled for 2015.

The recent projects of the mill have included the construction of new blast furnaces, a continuous casting machine and a section rolling mill. Currently, construction work is continuing on blast furnace No. 3 and on a gas cleaning system for converter No. 2.

The realization of the company's modernization program will allow the company to increase steel production to 6 million mt per year by 2017.
