ArcelorMittal South Africa recommissions BOFs at Vanderbijlpark

ArcelorMittal South Africa has announced that its three basic oxygen furnaces (BOF) damaged during the fire which occurred at Vanderbijlpark plant on February 9 this year have been recommissioned and are now fully operational.
 
The assessment conducted by the company regarding the cause of the fire has been completed, revealing that operations were affected by an unforeseen malfunction of the sensor and computer software.
