In the first eight months of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 4.2302 million mt, up 0.4 percent year on year, as announced by the company.
In addition, in the first eight months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih saw a 2.9 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 3.7009 million mt, while its pig iron production decreased by 0.4 percent year on year to 3.6771 million mt.
In August alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 1.5 percent to 562,400 mt, output of finished steel decreased by 1.55 percent to 488,400 mt, while production of pig iron moved up by 1.4 percent to 492,100 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
