ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output up 9.7 percent in Q1

In the first quarter of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 1.613 million mt, up 9.7 percent year on year, as announced by the company.

In addition, in the first three months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 10.7 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 1.412 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by nine percent year on year to 1.405 million mt.

Meanwhile, in March alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 12 percent to 566,000 mt, output of finished steel went up by 17.6 percent to 503,300 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by 10.2 percent to 491,000 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
