ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output up 8.5 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 1.047 million mt, up 8.5 percent year on year, as announced by the company.
 
In addition, in the first two months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 7.2 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 908,400 mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 8.46 percent year on year to 914,400 mt.
 
Meanwhile, in February alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 24.6 percent to 510,400 mt, output of finished steel went up by 19.3 percent to 438,500 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by 20.9 percent to 441,200 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
