In the January-April period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 2.018 million mt, up eight percent year on year, the Interfax news agency has reported citing sources at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
In addition, in the first four months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 7.7 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 1.78 million mt, while its pig iron production in the given period increased by eight percent year on year to 1.78 million mt.
Meanwhile, in April alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih amounted to 509,000 mt, output of finished steel totaled 451,000 mt, and production of pig iron came to 447,000 mt.
