In the first four months of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 2.01 million mt, up 7.9 percent year on year, as announced by the company. Its pig iron production in the given period increased by 7.9 percent to 1.78 million mt, while its finished steel output increased by 7.5 percent to 1.78 million mt, both compared to the same period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, in April alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih amounted to 507,600 mt, up 9.7 percent, output of finished steel increased by 10.6 percent to 448,600 mt and production of pig iron rose by nine percent to 447,300 mt, all year on year.
