ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih recommissions mills

ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine-based subsidiary of the world's largest integrated metals and mining company ArcelorMittal, has recommissioned its bar rolling mill "250-1".

During the first week of November, the 550,000 mt per year bar rolling mill is scheduled to produce about 1,500 mt of steel products per day. Later on, the output volume will depend on the number of orders.

In addition, by the end of the first week of the current month, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih is to recommission its wire rod mill "250-3," with an annual capacity of 850,000 mt. Initially, the mill will operate only one of its lines, producing 1,200 mt of steel products per day.

During the month of October, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih's rolled steel production decreased by 48.5 percent to 146,000 mt, compared with 301,000 mt produced in September.
