ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih orders equipment from Metso

ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine-based subsidiary of the world's largest steelmaker Arcelor Mittal, has awarded a supply contract to Sweden-based firm Metso for the delivery of mineral processing equipment for its iron ore enrichment plant.

The delivery is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.

The value of the contract is €22 million ($30.9 million).

The ordered equipment will be used for the modernization of ArcelorMittal's iron ore enrichment plant. Upon the completion of this modernization, the plant's annual iron ore concentrate production will increase to 13.5 million metric tons and its iron ore processing capacity will rise to 30 million metric tons per year.
