ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih expects to record a profit in July

Ukrainian steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, a subsidiary of steel giant ArcelorMittal, is expecting to record a profit in July this year by increasing its output of finished steel products for commercial sale to 410,000-430,000 mt, compared to 355,000 mt produced in June. The producer in question is able to break even with a monthly output level of 350,000 mt.

In addition, it is reported that since autumn last year ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has managed to decrease its production costs by three times, to the current level of $379/mt. For the future, the company plans to further decrease its production costs to $300/mt.

Currently, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih is utilizing 57.3 percent of its production capacities.
