In 2013, Henan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anyang Steel recorded a steel output in excess of 8 million mt, up 2.64 million mt year on year, contributing to the reduction of the company's losses.
In particular, the producer's outputs of pig iron and crude steel amounted to 8.06 million mt and 8.09 million mt, up 44.1 percent and 48.53 percent compared to the previous year, respectively. The company's sales revenues for the whole year totaled RMB 40.3 billion ($6.64 billion), increasing by RMB 6 billion year on year.
