Ansteel ThyssenKrupp’s auto steel project comes into operation in Chongqing

On September 13, Chongqing-based Chinese steelmaker Ansteel ThyssenKrupp Auto Steel Co.(Ansteel ThyssenKrupp (Chongqing), a subsidiary of Ansteel ThyssenKrupp Auto Steel Co.(Ansteel ThyssenKrupp), has put its auto steel project into operation in Yufu Industrial Zone Liangjiang New District, Chongqing city. The project in question has a designed annual capacity of 450,000 mt of high-strength hot dipped galvanized auto steel, with an estimated annual value of production of RMB 3 billion ($470 million).
 
Ansteel ThyssenKrupp (Chongqing) is a joint venture company invested by Sichuan Province-based Xichang Steel Vanadium & Titanium Co. (Xichang Vanadium & Titanium), a subsidiary of Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Co. (Ansteel), Ansteel ThyssenKrupp Auto Steel Co. (Ansteel ThyssenKrupp) and the Germany-based ThyssenKrupp. Ansteel ThyssenKrupp (Chongqing) specializes in high quality of hot dipped galvanized steel, alloyed hot dipped galvanized steel and aluminum coated silicon steel products, which are mainly used in automobile industry.
