Ansteel sees increased revenue and output in H1

On August 13, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Co. (Ansteel) announced that it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 38.177 billion ($6.18 billion) in the first half of the current year, up 3.4 percent year on year. In the given period, its net profit amounted to RMB 577 million ($93.37 million), down 17.81 percent year on year.

In the first six months this year, Ansteel produced 10.9833 million mt of pig iron, up 5.43 percent, 10.8528 million mt of crude steel, up 8.38 percent, and 10.1642 million mt of finished steel, up 7.48 percent, all year on year.
