Ansteel commissions iron ore pellet production in Bayuquan

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co. (Ansteel) has announced that its iron ore pellet production line has been successfully relocated to Bayuquan in Yingkou in Liaoning Province, commencing pilot production on May 25 after 11 months of construction work.

The annual output of the pelletizing facility in question is due to reach 2 million mt, and the facility is expected to satisfy demand in terms of quality and quantity from Ansteel's blast furnaces in Bayuquan.
