On March 9, Liaoning Province-based Anshan Steel released its ex-factory product prices for April. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
Prices of common carbon products increased RMB 250/mt ($32/mt). As a result, the price of 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm x C is RMB 3,850/mt ($491/mt), while that of 5.75 mm x 1,500 mm x C is RMB 3,670/mt ($474/mt).
2. CR coils
Prices increased RMB 270/mt ($35/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of ST12 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm is now at RMB 4,370/mt ($565/mt).
3. Galvanized prices increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt), with the price of ST01Z grade 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm rising to RMB 4,960/mt ($641/mt).
4. Color coated
Prices for specifications > 0.5 mm increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt), specifications >= 0.45 mm and < 0,5 mm increased RMB 200/mt ($26/mt), while prices for specifications < 0.45 mm increased RMB 300/mt ($39/mt). As a result, the price of 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C is at RMB 6,400/mt ($867/mt).
5. CR electric steel
Prices increased RMB 300-500/mt ($39-65/mt).
6. Medium plate
Medium
plate prices increased RMB 230/mt ($30/mt); boiler
plate and container
plate went up by RMB 180/mt ($23). After the adjustment, the price of Q235 grade 20 mm has risen to RMB 3,550/mt ($459/mt).
7. Heavy plate and shipbuilding plate prices increased RMB 200/mt ($26/mt). March prices are still in effect for other product varieties.
8. Wire rod
Prices increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of March 9, 2007.
