Annual iron ore price talks may conclude by April 1

The currently ongoing annual iron ore price negotiations are expected to be completed by April 1, Zhang Xiaogang, general manager of Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Angang Iron and Steel Corporation, has stated.
Meanwhile, Mr. Zhang also said that he did not expect domestic steel prices in China to register any big fluctuations in 2010. In addition, he revealed that the integration between Angang Steel and fellow Liaoning-based steel producer Benxi Steel is due to be concluded by the end of the current year. He also said he believed that the company's annual steel production would reach 40 million mt within two years.
