The cold rolling plant of Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang has lately commenced production of TRIP780 steel sheets. Thus, this mill becomes the first Chinese supplier of TRIP780 steel - the highest strength steel used in automotive steel sheets - to the domestic market.
TRIP780 steel is generally characterized by low content of carbon, aluminum, and silicon.
