Alchevsk to increase steel product output in January

Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has announced that in January this year its plans to increase its production of steel products by 18 percent month on month to around 390,000 mt.
 
In January this year, Alchevsk plans to export about 265,000-266,000 mt of semi-finished products, up 22 percent compared to December 2012, including 205,000 mt of slabs and around 60,000 mt of square billets.
