Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has stated that it has halted steel production due to problems relating to iron ore and coke supplies. The railway junction, through which raw materials arrive at the mill and finished steel products are sent from the mill, has been damaged by military action. The renewal of railway transportation is currently impossible due to ongoing military operations in the region.
