AK Steel hikes prices of stainless steel products
According to the recent statement released from AK Steel, the company increases prices of 200, 300 and 400 series of
stainless steel sheet, strip and
plate products by 3% to be in effect for the shipments as of April 4, 2004. Moreover, a further increase of 3% will be effected for the shipments as of May 2, 2004.
The increase in the prices will be in the form of reduction discount by 1%.
The price increase is effected due to rising raw material, energy and input costs, a company official stated.
