Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) recorded monthly shipments of finished steel totaling 351,398 metric tons in May, the company announced this week.
The new shipment figure is more than 13,000 tons higher than the previous record of 338,365 metric tons set in March 2014.
"We are proud of this result, which highlights the good attitude of the workers; This year we have two monthly shipping marks and the tendency is to close the semester with 1,950 million metric tons, aimed at a new annual record," said Daniel Riojas de la Garza, Deputy Director of Logistics and Customer Service for AHMSA.
