AHMSA reports increased sales and shipments in Q2

Steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) reported that its total sales amounted to 10.953 billion pesos (US$846 million) in the second quarter of this year, representing a 28 percent increase against same period in 2013.

In the company’s report to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), AHMSA said that during the quarter they placed on the market 955,326 metric tons of steel products and 1,622,819 metric tons of thermal coal, a 12 percent and 15 percent increase, respectively, compared to the same quarter last year.
