AD reviews on Taiwanese HRC rescinded per Nucor and US Steel’s request

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) rescinded its administrative review of the antidumping order on hot-rolled carbon steel flat products from Taiwan on Friday.

The review originally covered five Taiwanese producers/exporters--Chain Chon Industrial Co., Ltd.; Kao Hsing Chang Iron & Steel Corp.; Kao Hsiung Chang Iron & Steel Corp.; Shang Chen Steel Co., Ltd.; and Yieh Phui Enterprise Co. Ltd.--during the period from November 1, 2010 through October 31, 2011. 

The review was requested by Nucor and US Steel, but they withdrew their requests with respect to all five companies. On February 14, 2012, Nucor Corporation withdrew its request for an administrative review of the five companies. On February 16, 2012, US Steel Corporation withdrew its request for an administrative review of the three companies for which it had requested a review.
