AD, CVD orders on CTL plate from 5 countries to continue

On November 28, 2005, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) determined that revocation of the existing antidumping duty (AD) orders on cut-to-length carbon steel plates imported from India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and South Korea; and the countervailing duty (CVD) orders on the same product imported from India, Indonesia, Italy and South Korea would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US market. According to a notice released in the Federal Register today (December 6), as a result of both the ITC's decision and the Department of Commerce's (DOC) affirmative findings, the existing AD and CVD orders on cut-to-length carbon steel plate imported from India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and South Korea will remain in effect.
